Notes:

The National Scholastic Chess Foundation, in partnership with the New Castle Recreation and Parks Department, is again offering chess instruction for children on Thursday afternoons from 4:30 to 5:45 pm. The club is open to all students grades K-8 and to all levels of play.
It meets at the Robert E. Bell Middle School located at 50 Senter Street, Chappaqua, NY 10514

We have taught scores of children at the club over the years and we are very proud that many of the best scholastic players in the area have honed their skills at our club. The club features special lectures, chess problem-solving, fun games and competitive play. The instruction is geared to the level of each student.

Beginners through nationally ranked children will find appropriate challenges at their level of play and the opportunity to improve their game.

You do not have to be a New Castle resident to attend.

Instructor-recommended resources for beginning players.
